PURPOSE:To easily connect and fix an auger screw to a driving device that drives the auger screw into rotary motion. CONSTITUTION:A driving device 106 that drives an auger screw of an earth auger into rotary motion is equipped with a motor 114 to which electric power is supplied from an engine-driven generator through a control panel 6, a rotary shaft driven by the motor 114 and a fixing part that is provided to the rotating shaft and to which the end of the auger screw is inserted and fixed after positioning is made. In fixing the auger screw to the fixing part, inching operation mode with which the motor 114 operates only when either a forward switch FS or a reverse switch RS is turned on with a selector switch S1 on the operating panel 4 turned off is set, and the auger screw is positioned to the fixing part with the motor 114 rotated in slow motion by intermittent turning-on-and- off of the switches FS and RS. As a slowdown switch S3 on the operating panel 4 is turned on, a slowdown device 12 slows down the speed of the engine 8, making the revolution speed of the motor 114 decrease, and thereby positioning becomes easy. |
