PURPOSE:To extend piping without interrupting excavating operation. CONSTITUTION:A two-divided type cylindrical pipe 2 is slidingly assembled on a straight section of a main pipe 1, thereby constituting a double pipe. A ring-shaped gasket 3 is mounted to the inner surface of a pipe end on one side of the cylindrical pipe 2. The cylindrical pipe 2 is connected to the straight section 11 of the pipe. This construction enhances efficiency of tunnel excavation work and guarantee safety of workers and prevent the flow out of slurry or the penetration of air into the pipe accompanied by the piping extension. |
