PURPOSE:To obtain the subject preventive agent causing no shrinkage of the clothing to be washed on washing it with water and also no migration to other objects, containing a specific water-repellent emulsion. CONSTITUTION:A clothing to be washed is washed by using a water-repelling silicone emulsion (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane oil, esp. pref. amino-modified silicone oil) in combination with a detergent, and finished with the emulsion. The resultant dry clothing can be washed with water without causing any shrinkage, and can be finished without causing migration to other objects. This method can be applied suitably for washing clothing such as of wool, silk or rayon with water. |
