PURPOSE:To inexpensively form an image excellent in org. solvent resistance, water resistance and heat resistance without requiring an auxiliary material, enhance handling properties and prevent the damage of an article by using paper as a base material and forming a smooth layer between the base material and a coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording medium is constituted by successively laminating a base material 1, a smooth layer 2, a coloring layer 3, a thermal sensitizing layer 5, a metal membrane layer 6 and a protective layer 6 and the smooth layer 2 is provided in order not only to smooth the surface of the base material 1 constituted of paper but also to enhance the close adhesiveness of the coloring layer 3. This thermal recording medium has a property forming an image by utilizing the thermal shrinkage destruction of the metal membrane layer 5 provided thereto without using a thermal transfer ink ribbon and can be especially pref. used as a tag for cleaning and can be also pref. used as a tag attached to a commodity or raw material having possibility coming into contact with an org. solvent or water or clothing easy to damage. |
