<p>PURPOSE:To lengthen the service life, simplify the repair work, and reduce a size of a spindle head for high speed rotating spindle used in machine tools, various types of industrial machines, etc. CONSTITUTION:A spindle 3 is rotatably supported in a spindle housing 1 through bearings 2, 2 located in front and rear in the axial direction, oil leakage outside the spindle housing 1 is prevented by an oil seal 4, and thus a spindle head 5 is formed. An oil passage 9 through which oil 7 from an oil supply port 6 is discharged from a discharge port 8 through the bearings 2, 2, is provided. A cylindrical seal block 10 is mounted between the front and rear bearings 2, 2 in order to interrupt the connection between the bearings. A ring-like oil passage 12 capable of being connected to the oil supply port 6 is formed in the position of the cylindrical seal block 10, and micro clearances 13 are formed and labylinth form grooves 14 are provided between the spindle 3 and the seal block 10.</p> |
