POLYSTYRENE COMPOSITION FOR INJECTION MOLDING

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in fluidity in injection molding and capable of producing a molding excellent in impact strength. CONSTITUTION:This polystyrene composition contains 99.95 to 97wt.% simple body of polystyrene having a molecular weight within a range of 100000 to 2000000 when simultaneously measured by the differential refractory method and the Rayleigh small angle scattering method according to the gel permeation chromatography method using tetrahydrofuran solvent and a Mabs/Mr within a range of >=1.1 and <=2 and 0.05 to 3wt.% liquid paraffin having >=60 cat at 40 deg.C. Mr is the molecular weight determined from an elusion curve by using a straight-chain standard polystyrene as a standard and Mabs is the absolute molecular weight determined from Rayleigh scattering.
