PURPOSE:To produce an NOx removing material capable of effectively removing NOx contained in exhaust gas discharged from an internalcombustion engine, etc. CONSTITUTION:An oxidizing agent is carried on activated carbon by 3-20wt.% of the amt. of the activated carbon to obtain the objective NOx removing material having >=600m<2>/g specific surface area and <=2,000mum particle diameter.
