PURPOSE: To characterize healthy or stenosed artery segmentation based on precise information obtained from artery segmentation along remarkably dense excitation lines among heart cycles, by using echograph equipment based on signal processing in the time domain by the signal correlation-interpolation method. CONSTITUTION: Echograph including signal processing in a time domain by the correlation-interpolation method is adapted to measurements of radial displacement rate of an artery wall. Velocity values V(x, z, t) to be stored in the first memory 55 and amplitude values A(x, z, t) to be stored in the second memory 57 are obtained by scanning the frame at a cycle T (52) of several ms for 1 excitation line, and executing correlation-interpolation processing among excitation lines on the same line shifted by cycle T. Expansion curves and compression curves are obtained by processing these values (60). |
