PURPOSE:To prevent a steering shaft from rising at the time of a vehicle clash by providing a steering shaft with a bracket fixed to a car body at a space up to the outer peripheral surface of a steering column between the upper and lower fixed parts of the steering column. CONSTITUTION:The upper part and the lower part of a steering column 30 for rotatably supporting a steering shaft 20 are fixed to a dash panel 1, which is a part of a car body, through supporting members 50, 60. A bracket 70 for regulating oscillation in the rising direction of the steering shaft 20 is fixed to the dash panel 1 at a space up to the outer peripheral surface of the steering column 30 in the middle part between the upper fixed part 31 and the lower fixed part 32 of the steering column 30. Thus, it is possible to prevent the steering shaft 20 from rising at the time of a vehicle clash. |
