PURPOSE:To obtain an agent for the treatment of inflammatory intestinal disease containing KAKKON.OUREN.OUGONTOU, etc., as an active component, free from side effect, excellent in safety and curing efficiency and effective against colitis, etc. CONSTITUTION:This agent for the treatment of inflammatory intestinal disease contains e.g. KAKKON.OUREN.OUGONTOU, a compound preparation of 5.0-8.0 pts.wt. of KAKKON (root of Pueraria lobata), 3.0 pts.wt. of OUREN (rhizome of Coptis Japonica), 3.0 pts.wt. of OUGON (root of Scutellaria baicalensis) and 2.0-3.0 pts.wt. of KANZOU (root of Glycyrrhiza glabra) or its extract as an active component. Further, a daily dose of the active component is preferably in the range of 3-15g. |
