PURPOSE:To correct the wear of a grindstone without interrupting a work for removing a weld bead or burr by installing a grindstone wear correcting mechanism consisting of a controller for operating a driving device based on a signal from a detecting mechanism and moving straight the grinder by a prescribed amount in the radius direction on the cutting side of the grindstone. CONSTITUTION:When a grindstone is worn and a cutting remainder of a projecting part of weld bead or burr, etc., is left it is detected by a detecting mechanism 42 constituting a grindstone wear correcting mechanism 43, the signal is transmitted to a controller 41 constituting the grindstone wear correcting mechanism 43, and the controller 41 operates a driving device 6 based on the signal. The driving device 6 moves straight the grinder 1 attached with a grindstone 2 at its lower part by a prescribed amount in the radius direction on the cutting side of the grindstone, and corrects a cutting remainder of a projecting part of weld bead or burr, etc., cause by the wear of the grindstone 2. Also, the detecting mechanism 42 detects that the grinder is in a state of not yet completing grinding so that it rides on the projecting part of the base material surface of the material to be worked, and the controller 41 controls the driving device 6 such as a robot based on the signal to prevent the cutting remainder of the projecting part from being left.
