PURPOSE:To produce a piezoelectric porcelain compsn. having a high electromechanical coupling factor and superior mechanical quality even in use under high voltage or even after the lapse of time and having high efficiency and high reliability. CONSTITUTION:Powder of materials forming piezoelectric ceramics is sintered to obtain the objective piezoelectric porcelain compsn. having <=1mum average grain size of the grains of crystallized powder. The grains have a basic compsn. represented by the chemical formula xPb(Sb1/2Nb1/2)O3-yPbZrO3-zPbTiO3 [wherein, (x) is 0.5-30mol%, (y) is 5-80mol%, (z) is 20-90mol% and x+y+z=100 mol%]. |
