PURPOSE:To control the small-sized base station with simple constitution as to the mobile communication system wherein a center station and the small-sized base station are connected by an optical transmission line. CONSTITUTION:The center station 1 is equipped with a modulation part 5 which modulates a time-division multiplexed signal, a optical converting part 6 which converts its output signal into an optical signal and sends it out to the optical transmission line 3, a photoelectric conversion part 7 which converts the optical signal from the small-sized base station 2 into an electric signal (high frequency signal), and a demodulation part 8, and the small-sized base station 2 is equipped with a photoeletric conversion part 9 which converts the optical signal from the center station 1 into an electric signal (high frequency signal), a transmitting amplification part 10 which amplifies and sends its output signal, a receiving amplification part 11 which amplifies the signal from a mobile machine 4, a electricoptical conversion part 12 which converts the output signal into an optical signal and sends it out to the optical transmission line 3, and a transmission/reception switching control part 13 which controls switching between transmission and reception by switching the operation and nonoperation of a changeover switch or the transmission side and reception side. |
