PURPOSE:To start a processing procedure for returning of an electronic mail automatically at the arrival of the reply mail by designating a proper processing procedure name for processing a return mail when a document whose reply mail arrival is expected is sent in an office environment utilizing the electronic mail system. CONSTITUTION:The document processor is provided with a means 21 receiving a forwarded document generated by a document generator 3, a means 22 receiving a processing procedure name to be applied to a return mail with respect to the document, a means 23 giving the document to an electronic mail device 4, a means 24 acquiring a message ID provided on the document by the electronic mail device 4, a means 25 registering the processing procedure name to a cross reference table 5 together with the message ID, a means 11 receiving the document from the electronic mail device 4, a means 12 extracting a message ID of the forward mail from the document, a means 13 retrieving the processing procedure name to be applied to the document based on the message ID, and a means 14 giving the processing procedure name to a processing execution device 6. |
