发明名称 NEGATIVE ELECTRODE USING HYDROGEN STORAGE ALLOY
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a battery having the excellent initial activity by using a negative electrode, in which the binder is included at a specified range in relation to the hydrogen storage alloy. CONSTITUTION:Binder such as polyvinylalcohol and carboxylmethylcellulose is included at 0.1-0.5% by weight in relation to the hydrogen storage alloy. In the case where a negative electrode having this composition is used, a battery having the excellent initial activity can be obtained. In the case where the binder at less than 1% by weight is included, strength as an electrode is lowered, and in the case where the binder at more than 0.5% by weight is included, initial activity is lowered. MmNi5 group hydrogen storage alloy is desirably used to improve the high temperature characteristic and the cycle lifetime. Mm means a mesh metal made of the mixture of rare earth group such as La, Ce, Pr and Nd.
