The emergency lighting is supplied from the AC mains through a rectifier. A group of electromechanical relays causes a stable high or low state in an output relay (S) controlling extinction or illumination of the safety lighting. The state of the output relay depends on the state of five electromechanical relays. The contacts of an illumination measuring relay (C) are connected in parallel with contacts of an auxiliary relay (X) and contacts of the lighting control relay (K). This group of parallel contacts are connected in series with a circuit breaker contact in series with a voltage relay. A capacitor connected in parallel with the coil of the auxiliary relay (X) provides temporary connection to bridge transition periods.
