ETALON, SINGLE LONGITUDINAL MODE LASER AND MANUFACTURE OF ETALON

PURPOSE:To acquire a single longitudinal mode laser which is free from problems such as rise of oscillation threshold value and output deterioration caused thereby and which does not cause strain of beam profile. CONSTITUTION:Etalon 15 whose longitudinal mode coincides with a gain peak wavelength of an Nd:YAG crystal 13 is inserted into a resonator constituted of an edge face 13a of the Nd:YAG crystal 13 which is a solid laser medium and a resonator mirror 14 making two mutually parallel light transmission edge faces 15a, 15b form a specified angle to a resonator axis.
