PURPOSE:To reduce memory capacity required for signal analytic filter processing by sharing a part of a memory area which holds by recording a wideband signal with a memory area which holds by recording a first intermediate signal. CONSTITUTION:Wideband signal memory 2a, sub-band signal memory 2c, input/ output buffer memory 2b, a block periodic signal 2d and a filter processing content 2e are shown in the transition diagram of a RAM in a signal analytic filter bank. The first intermediate signal calculated in a first arithmetic operation is held by recording on the memory area of oblique line part of the wideband signal memory 2a. A sub-band signal is calculated by a second arithmetic operation by using the first intermediate signal held by recording on the wideband signal memory 2a after the execution of the first arithmetic operation, and it is held by recording on the subband signal memory 2c. In such a way, the memory capacity can be reduced by sharing a part of the memory area which holds by storing the wideband signal with the memory area which holds by storing the first intermediate signal without impairing the wide-band signal used in the first arithmetic operation. |
