PURPOSE:To eliminate occurrence of the blank parts of business forms and also the deviation caused by the page eject and to attain the automatic switching of printing operations by storing the print data and the line counter value in a secondary system while a primary system is performing a printing operation, carrying on the printing operation by the secondary system based on the stored line counter value when the primary system has a fault, and the printing operation is started again by the primary system when it is restored. CONSTITUTION:The real-time printing device consists of a primary system which prints the received data for each line as unit by a printer 3 and stores the print data and the line counter value and also sends these data and value to a secondary system, and the secondary system which stores the print data and the line counter value received from the primary system, monitors the primary system, prints the received print data for each line as unit at and after the next line by the printer 3 based on the stored line counter value when the primary system has a fault, and stores these printed print data and line counter value. |
