<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the apparent difference caused by the parallax between the menu information and the switch which selects the menu information and also to ensure the optimum contrast on a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device consists of a liquid crystal panel 11, a menu shift switch 13 which includes an upward shift switch 13U and a downward shift switch 13D, a CPU 2, a liquid crystal driving part 3, an image data storage part 4 and a variable storage part 5. When a power supply is applied to the display device, the CPU 2 reads the variables U and D which show the operating frequency of the switches 13U and 13D from the storage part 5 and changes the contrast and the display position of the menu information 10 on the panel 11 based on the value of both variables U and D. When the switch 13 is operated, this operating frequency is stored in the part 5. At the same time, the contrast and the display position of the information 10 are changed according to the manipulated variable of the switch 13.</p> |
