The device places side by side on a movable carrier for treatment to loosen the binding medium of old posters in a bath (24). The old posters are removed by using a scraper (28) and the carrier together with the members are moved to a station with a magazine (30) for poster sheets. The poster sheets are fed outwards from the magazine and laid over the members for fixation to them. Finally, the laid poster material is cut between the individual members by means of a forwards and backwards moving cutting unit (36).
