PARALLEL SIGNAL OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To send a parallel signal and a frame synchronizing signal through one optical fiber at a low cost with high quality. CONSTITUTION:A received parallel signal is converted into a serial signal 101 for each frame at a converter 30 based on a frame synchronizing signal in a transmission section, the serial signal 101 and the frame synchronizing signal 102 are multiplexed and converted into a DC balance signal 103 at a converter 31 and the DC balanced signal 103 is converted into an optical signal by a 0.78mum band laser diode 13 and the optical signal is sent by a plastic clad fiber 32. A silicon photo diode 33 converts the received optical signal into an electric signal and the electric signal is amplified into a DC balanced signal having a prescribed amplitude by an amplifier 34 and the DC balanced signal is demultiplexed into a serial signal and a frame synchronizing signal by a demultiplexer 35 and the serial signal is converted into an original parallel signal and reproduced based on the frame synchronizing signal.
