<p>PURPOSE:To always detect the accurate coordinates of a pen with no error caused even if the tilt angle of the pen fluctuates by setting the maximum range of fluctuation of the pen at or less than the pixel pitch of a display. CONSTITUTION:In the pen 1, the distance d (maximum range of fluctuation) is set equal to or less than the pixel pitch of a display 8 along th spherical surface of the point 1a of the pen 1 set between a point A (contact point between the point 1a and a vibration transmitter 3 with the pen 1 set vertical to the transmitter 3) and a point C (contact point between the point 1a and the transmitter 3 with the pen 1 set at 45 deg. to the transmitter 3). That is, the tilt angle of the pen 1 momentarily changes to the transmitter 3 while a user is performing an input operation. However, since an error is set at or less than the pixel pitch of the display 8 the maximum range of fluctuation of the pen 1 is kept at or less than the pixel pitch of the display 8 regardless of the tilt angle of the pen 1, when the pen 1 is kept at or less than the normal tilt angle (45 deg.), and the coordinate detecting accuracy is never affected and the pen input coordinates can be detected with high accuracy.</p> |
