The device provides font size modification method for the on screen display(OSD) system by controlling the output velocity of the video memory, font ROM, and parallel/serial converter. The device comprises: an OSD control unit which varies control signal and controls the entire OSD system; a synchronization separating unit which separates the V-SYNC, and H-SYNC signal from the external video signal; a control signal generator which changes the velocity of the font size control signal according to the V-SYNC and H-SYNC signal; a video memory which stores the address of the OSD control unit; and font ROM which generates font data according to the address from the video memory. |
