Vehicle accident location method for rapid dispatch of emergency services

The method involves providing a vehicle (1) with a collision detector (2) which is sensitive to shocks above a predetermined level. A warning device (3) is actuated by the detector and delivers a location signal which represents the instantaneous coordinates of the vehicle in a map system. An electronic circuit (7) includes a main memory (8) which stores preliminary information concerning health records for the usual driver. The information and location data are transmitted and the processing centre is automatically dialled when an accident occurs. The information is then processed by a computer (12) allowing immediate dispatch of emergency services.
