The fishing reel (1) consists of a body (3) with a foot (4) and a rotating section (5) together with a turning handle (6). The fishing rod (2) has a reel mounting (8) which carries a moving piece to lock the foot of the reel. The reel is mounted on the fishing rod and held in position by the reel mounting. The package has a section (13,14) that forms a protection part for the reel, and a section (11,12) which extends from each moving part of the reel mounting. This prevents any movement of the reel mounting.
