A device (1) for sampling molten metal comprises a rigid tubular blowpipe (2), at one end of which is fixed a sampling probe (3). The probe (3) comprises a cylindrical envelope (4) internally equipped, at its end most distant from the blowpipe (2), with a mould for taking the sample. The mould incorporates at least one spout opening out into the envelope. The mould is connected to a filling tube emerging externally. The device (1) incorporates some means (18) of blowing a gas under pressure, for example, air, through the tubular blowpipe (2) into the inner volume of the cylindrical envelope (4) of the probe. The filling tube extends beyond the end of the envelope and is surrounded by a coating (13) giving it sufficient mechanical strength, the end (12) of the tube being free and not provided with a fusible cap. The rigid tubular blowpipe and the sampling probe are also claimed.
