PURPOSE:To omit labor and time to consult a dictionary for the same word by registering the word of an original to which dictionary consultation is applied once on an electronized word dictionary file when the foreign word of language for which no electronized dictionary file exists is translated manually. CONSTITUTION:An original file 16a stores the original of the language for which no dictionary file electronized in advance exists, and a word cutting means 15a performs the segmentation of the word of the original from the original file 16a. A word book dictionary file 16b stores the word of the original and the translation word of it in a pair, and a dictionary retrieval means 15b retrieves the word book dictionary file 16b setting the segmented word of the original as a retrieval word. A retrieval result display means 15c displays the retrieval result by the dictionary retrieval means 15b corresponding to the segmented word of the original. In this way, the number of times to consult the dictionary for an unknown word can be reduced as progressing work, and moreover, the efficiency of the work can be improved. |
