PURPOSE: To obtain an RF optical fiber ring which improves a power transmission rate by providing an impedance matching means, an input detecting means, an output detecting means, a light signal means, and a control means which controls the light signal means. CONSTITUTION: An RF coupler 117 supplies a sample of the RF output of an RF circuit 113 to an RF detector 119, which supplies a variable output reference signal showing the RF power of the output of the circuit 113. The output of the detector 119 is supplied to a comparing circuit 121 which inputs the reference signal REF as its input. The circuit 121 supplies a control signal to a laser diode circuit 127 which is biased with a DC bias voltage and the circuit 127 generates a control light output varying in response to the control signal output of the circuit 121. The control light output of the circuit 127 is supplied to an optical and electric matching circuit 111 which varies in impedance in response to the control signal supplied thereto through an optical fiber cable, so that broad-bandwidth matching becomes possible. |
