PURPOSE:To make the work more easier when attaching to a door and to stably hold a supporting sleeve at a predetermined position by expansively forming a square root portion at the rear surface side of the casing for the supporting sleeve as a bearing for a handle shaft and by fastening the square root portion by fitting it to a square hole made in the door. CONSTITUTION:A supporting sleeve 7 is inserted from the front of a door 2 to a square hole 2c, and a square root portion 7d is inserted into and in alignment with a square hole 2c. Then, the supporting sleeve 7 is fastened to the door 2 by screwing the square root portion into a male screw 7a formed on the peripheral surface of the supporting sleeve 7 from the rear side of the door 2. Then, a handle shaft 5 is inserted to the supporting sleeve 7, and a latch claw 7 is fixed with a screw 10 to the rear end of the handle shaft. In this mounting state, the attaching angle of the supporting sleeve 7 is univocally positioned relative to the square hole 2c of the door 2, and the supporting sleeve 7 is locked by the square hole 2c and the square root portion 7d. Thus, even though a nut 8 becomes loose during use, the supporting sleeve will not be moved inside the mounting hole. |
