<p>PURPOSE: To provide a power management system which is applicable to a UNIX (R) operating system. CONSTITUTION: A power management system is provided with a power management dummy device driver 100 and a power management adaptive device driver for hardware component which can be managed in power consumption and a few functions are added to a DDI/DKI layer 50. Therefore, the power consumption of the portable work station of a UNIX(R) operating system can be saved by managing the power consumption of the work station.</p> |
