PURPOSE:To make the space of an erasing guide small by using a light transmissive member for a cleaning blade and imparting a function as the erasing guide. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning blade 20 is made of transparent urethane or silicone rubber and a tapered surface 21 is formed on the top end of the blade 20. Toner remaining on a photoreceptor drum 2 is removed by the tip of the tapered surface 21 of the blade 20 and retained in a cleaner case 11. Moreover, after the residual toner is removed, a latent image pattern on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 is discharged with erasing light from the tapered surface 21. By such a constitution, even if the thickness of the blade 20 is small, the area of the drum 2 irradiated with the erasing light can be made large, so that the cleaner and a static eliminator 10 can be miniaturized without damaging cleaning and discharging functions. |
