PURPOSE:To enhance the gradation in the method where a color gradation image is expressed by combinations of intensity modulation with the number of levels less than that of an original image and area modulation. CONSTITUTION:A color space is divided into a small color space expressed in fundamental colors of white W, yellow Y, magenta M and cyan C, a small color space expressed in fundamental colors of black K, blue B, green G and red R, and a small color space expressed in fundamental colors of yellow Y, magenta M, cyan C, blue B, green G and red R. Then to which of the three small color spaces a color gradation image signal belongs is discriminated and any of primary colors representing the belonging small color space is shared for each pixel. |
