PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of efficiently using a web, sufficiently cleaning the rollers of a fixing device, and forming a stable image with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device 64 removing the contamination of the heating roller 58 of a fixing device 50 is provided with a feeding roller 72, a winding roller 74, and a web 76 suspended on the rollers 72, 74 in contact with the heating roller 58. When the image density of a document detected by the automatic exposure sensor of an exposure optical system reaches a fixed value, the winding roller 74 is rotated by a prescribed quantity by a driving mechanism, and the web 76 is wound by a prescribed quantity. The rotation angle of the winding roller 74 is adjusted in response to the winding state of the web 76 during the winding action. |
