PURPOSE: To provide a television device including a control means which controls a tuner means differently in a 1st and a 2nd operation mode. CONSTITUTION: This device includes the tuner means 120 which selects a channel and keys 100 operated by a user including keys relative to the selection of the channel and the control means operates in the 1st operation mode and 2nd operation mode that the user can select. In the 1st operation mode (SW6 OFF, SW2 and SW3 ON), the tuner means 120 is switched from a 1st television channel to a 2nd television channel in response to the operation of the keys relating to the selection of the channel. In the 2nd operation mode (SW6 ON, SW2 or SW3 OFF), on the other hand, a specific television channel is selected and then the tuner means 120 is switched from the specific television channel without responding to the operation of the keys relating to the selection of the channel. |
