PURPOSE:To provide a microscope for surgical operation which enables safer surgical operation by improving the manipulatability in microscope observation and endoscope observation when they are used in combination for the surgical operation. CONSTITUTION:This microscope consists of a mirror body 1 consisting of an objective 3, a couple of variable power optical systems 4a and 4b, a couple of image forming lenses 5a and 5b, and RGB image pickup devices 6a and 6b, the RGB image pickup devices 6a and 6b consisting of color separation prisms and R, G, and B image pickup elements, processors 7a and 7b which generate image signals from RGB image pickup device outputs, an oblique observation endoscope 12 for observing the dead space, etc., of the microscope observation, a mode switch 15 for selecting the size of an image observed thorugh an endoscope, superimposing circuits 8a and 8b which superimpose image signals for the microscope and endoscope observations with a specific signal, observation monitors 10a and 10b, and oculars 11a and 11b. |
