PURPOSE:To calculate the absolute distance between a probe side substrate and a recording medium in an information processor applying the principle of STM independently of a change with the lapse of time without correcting detected capacitance or distance. CONSTITUTION:Plural flat platelike electrodes for face alignment are fitted to a probe side substrate 10 and a recording medium 9, the capacitance between these opposite electrodes is detected and the distance between the electrodes is calculated. At this time, one of the opposite electrodes is composed of plural electrodes (a), (b) different from each other in distance from the other (e) of the electrodes and the short distance side electrode is pectinately formed in the transverse direction and is utilized for transfer distance. |
