<p>PURPOSE:To control the rate of combustion, save energy, and reduce nitrogen oxide content, by emitting recirculating exhaust gases into or near a combustion and association part of gases with air. CONSTITUTION:Coke is produced by carbonizing coal charged into the carbonization chamber 1 through the brick walls 3 dividing the carbonization chambers 1 and the combustion chambers 2. Poor gas is sent from the header of mixed gases pipe 4 through the poor gas is sent from the header of mixed gases pipe 4 through the poor gas ducts 5 to the regenerative heat exchangers 10, where the gas is preheated, and emitted through the poor gas nozzles 5' into the combustion chambers 2. Combustion air is introduced from the air ducts 6 into the regenerative exchangers 11, where the air is preheated, and charged through the air nozzles for combustion 6' into the combustion chambers 2. A part of the exhaust gas is forced to recirculate by means of the rich gas ducts 8, and emitted to the places 9 where poor gas and air associate to form combustion flames. Results obtained are as follows: Ruduction of NOx content by 30 per cent at a recirculation ratio of 15%, and reduction of heat consumption by 10 per sent.</p> |
