Purifying waste air esp. from composting process

In the purificn. of polluted waste air, esp. air from a composting process, the waste air is subjected to catalytic post-combustion or passed through a ceramic filter (5, 6) e.g. having a heater coil. Also claimed are a process and appts. for composting organic matter (esp. waste), in which the waste air is purified by the above process, and use of a ceramic filter.
