Narrow frontage machine for suspended mining of inclined coal seams

The machine has a transverse extractor at its front, which is mounted on a cradle running on parallel guide rails (25,26) above an extraction conveyor. The extractor has a cutting arm which can pivot in a high arc. Hydraulic anchorage units are mounted parallel to one another at the rear and are coupled to the machine by hydraulic cylinders. The conveyor is inclined steeply upwards from its discharge end. The discharge end is arranged above the level of the forward guide rail (25) in the direction of advance, and may also project laterally over the neighbouring end of the rails.
