<p>An apparatus and a method for feeding a sample into a sample channel (20) are disclosed, the apparatus having a source for a carrier fluid. It is here desirable for the sample to be introduced into the sample channel in such a manner that as little reagent as possible is required during an analysis in the sample channel. For that purpose, the sample channel (10) is connected to a sample outlet (9) and the source of the carrier fluid is connected to a carrier inlet (8) of a change-over valve (7) which comprises a first channel (33), which in a first position connects the carrier inlet (8) to the sample outlet (9), and a second channel (34), which in this first position connects a sample inlet (19) to a waste outlet (21), wherein in a second position the first channel (33) connects the sample inlet (19) to the waste outlet (21) and the second channel (34) connects the carrier inlet (8) to the sample outlet (9).</p> |
