Chain and disc conveyor, to move sticky sludges and agglomerating materials

The conveyor chain (2) with discs (3) at intervals, moves the sticky or clinging material, such as sewage sludge, through the tube, from the region of reception to that of discharge. Pairs of discs bound a conveying volume. At the discharge points (6, 7), means are provided to scrape the material from the faces of the discs and/or the chain. The scrapers are bladed squeegees or strippers; they may employ brushes. A pipe and chain conveyor, and further, a suitable wheel to carry out the above procedure, are also claimed.
