Tube (I) for transporting refrigerant (II) has (a) an innermost layer of polyamide resin, (b) interlayer(s) of rubber material arranged radially outside layer (a), (c) a radial layer of reinforcing fibre outside layer(s) (b), (d) a radial outer tube with layer(s) contg. the outermost layer and (e) layer(s) of phenolic resin (III) with a total thickness of 5-100 microns; each layer of (III) is applied to an appropriate contact surface at the interface between two adjacent layers, i.e. layer (a), at least one layer (b), layer (c) and at least one layer of outer tube (d). Pref. total thickness of (e) is 10-60 microns; (e) consists of a single layer of (III), pref. between (a) and (b), or between (b) and (c) or between (c) and the outermost layer; (III) is mainly a phenol/aldehyde condensation polymer, pref. derived from phenol, zxylenol or resorcinol and formaldehyde, acetaldehyde or furfural; (III) is a phenolic resin adhesive; layer (e) is formed on innermost layer (a) by passing (a) through a hole made of a spongy structure impregnated with liq. (III). -
