<p>A security apparatus (15) for use with swimming pool enclosures (10) incorporating an openable gate (11), the apparatus (15) including a switch (21) which is actuated upon the gate (11) being opened to cause operation of an audible alarm (17) or visual alarm (19). Operation of the alarms (17, 18) can be overridden by simultaneous actuation of switches (21) on the apparatus (15). If the gate (11) is not closed within a predetermined time, the alarms (17, 18) will operate. The apparatus (15) may also be applied to conventional gates, doors or windows which are required to be monitored.</p> |
