Stator recycling useful esp. for avoiding damaging environment

To recycle a stator (1), the inner contour (4a) of the elastomer insert (4) forming the screw pitch is turned out by a rotary chisel without a coolant, until the remaining elastomer (4b) forms an inner wall with rotational symmetry. A new inner contour (4b), for the screw pitch, is vulcanised to the wall formed by the remaining material.
