PURPOSE:To provide a heat accumulation type air conditioner capable of accumulating heat efficiently in the whole of heat accumulating agent upon heat accumulating operation and capable of effecting proper operation of a fan upon the heat accumulating operation as well as cooling and heating operation respectively. CONSTITUTION:In indoor air, which flows into a heat accumulating chamber 5 from a suction port 3 in room cooling and heating operation, the amount of air, which flows into a bypass passage 14 through an upper air hole 15 after passing through the heat accumulating chamber 5, and the amount of air, which flows into the bypass passage 14 from one end of the lower part of the bypass passage 14, can be controlled by an air mix damper 17. In this case, the heat exchanging amount of air, flowing into the bypass passage 14 from one end of lower part of the bypass passage 14, between heat accumulating agent A, is less than the amount of heat exchange of air, flowing into an air hole 15 through the heat accumulating chamber 5. Accordingly, the temperature of outlet air, produced by mixing both of the air, can be set artibrarily by the control of opening and closing of the air mix damper 17. |
