Use of aromatic steroids substd. in position 3 by an aminoalkyloxy disubstd. chain, of formula (I), and their acid addn. salts, to control fertility, partic. male fertility, is new. R1, R2 = 1-8C alkyl or benzyl; or NR1R2 = 5 or 6 membered heterocyclic gp., opt. contg. another heteroatom (O or N); R3 (in position alpha or beta ) = methyl; n = 2-10; R4+R5 form an oxo gp., or R4 = H, OH or 1-12C acyloxy, and R5 = H, OH, 1-12C acyloxy, 1-8C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl or 2-8C alkynyl; R6+R7 form an oxo gp., or R6, R7 = H, OH or acyloxy, or R5+R6 form a double bond and R4 and R7 = H.
