<p>A method and apparatus for preventing a textural deformation (swim) which has conventionally occurred are obtained. For this purpose, in texture mapping for a polygon on a three-dimensional space, values of depth information Z are virtually given to all vertex information for two-dimensional texture coordinates to define texture data on a three-dimensional space, and the texture data are virtually arranged on the polygon space (visual point coordinates). Linear transform between each vertex of the polygon and a corresponding vertex of the texture data is performed, and a coordinate transform process is performed to obtain identical sizes and identical coordinate values between the polygon and the texture data. Using the linear transform coefficients and the depth value Z, each pixel on the polygon is linearly transformed, and the inverse transform for obtaining the coordinate values of the corresponding texture data is performed. <IMAGE></p> |
