The nacelle, eg for carrying railway rolling stock control, safety and indicator equipment, is designed to be coupled to a locomotive by means of a sub-assembly with four bars (12), shackles (13) for connecting to coupling hooks, attached to rods (14) by cross-pieces (15) which act as universal joints, and pivots (18) connecting the rods to two of the four bars. The sub-assembly has tensioners in the form of spring units (20) formed from elastomer rollers with two arms (19, 23) connecting them to the chassis and to pivots (18). Hydraulic cylinders (25) are connected to transverse bars (21) which are also linked to the pivots. <IMAGE>
