On the other hand, if the quantity of light of a light signal 201 is ''0'' in the period T from the time ta to succeeding time tc, the quantity of light of a light signal 203 goes to 0 during the period T. Thus, the light signal 201 of NRZ code can be converted to the light signal 203 of RZ code.
