PURPOSE:To obtain a light NRZ-RZ code converting circuit that converts a light signal of NRZ code to a light signal of RZ code by constituting the circuit of a device that makes and breaks the light signal of NRZ code by a subclock electric signaly synchronized to a main clock signal. CONSTITUTION:A light gate 105 opens the gate when the voltage value of a subclock electric signal 202 is VH. If an incident light signal of quantity Ph1 is applied, the light signal of light quantity Ph2 is emitted. When the quantity of light of incident light signal is ''0'' and when the voltage value of the subclock electric signal 202 is VL, the quantity of light of an emitted light signal is ''0''. Accordingly, if the quantity of light of output light signal 201 of NRZ code is Ph1 in a period from a time ta to succeeding time ta, the quantity of light of a light signal 203 in a period tau from time tb to tc in the period T goes to Ph2, and the quantity of light goes to ''0'' in other time. On the other hand, if the quantity of light of a light signal 201 is ''0'' in the period T from the time ta to succeeding time tc, the quantity of light of a light signal 203 goes to 0 during the period T. Thus, the light signal 201 of NRZ code can be converted to the light signal 203 of RZ code. |
